Every summer, the Jardin des Particules Summer Programme opens its doors to the children of CERN personnel, offering much more than a simple childcare solution: a truly enriching human, educational and multicultural adventure.

From 29 June to 17 July, the children embarked on three weeks filled with discovery, centred around a unifying theme: Little Adventurers. Designed to stimulate their curiosity, develop their creativity and encourage social interaction, the programme enabled each child to enjoy a wide range of experiences in a caring, safe and international environment.

Each week invited the children to explore a new world.

The first week, Nature and Exploration, encouraged them to observe the world around them, experiment, create and discover the richness of their environment through workshops, games and outings in CERN's natural surroundings.

The second week, Adventurers on the Move, focused on physical activity, cooperation and pushing personal boundaries. Team games, sports challenges, obstacle courses and outdoor activities helped the children build confidence while sharing enjoyable and sociable moments together.

Finally, with Around the World with the Adventurers, participants travelled through different cultures, traditions and languages. This week celebrated the diversity that makes CERN so special through creative workshops, cultural discoveries and activities designed to encourage openness towards others.

True to CERN's international spirit, the Summer Camp took place in a French, English and Spanish speaking environment. This natural immersion allowed the children to discover or practise several languages on a daily basis, while developing their cultural awareness in a fun and inclusive setting.

Beyond the activities themselves, it was above all the smiles, new friendships, discoveries and shared memories that reflected the success of this year's programme. The Jardin des Particules Summer Programme contributes each year to providing CERN families with high-quality childcare during the school holidays, while giving children the opportunity to grow, flourish and enjoy a rewarding experience in an exceptional environment.
