Eyeglasses, sunglasses, cases, and broken pairs accepted. Thank you for supporting sustainable recycling efforts.

Millions of people around the world live with visual impairment simply because they do not have access to a pair of glasses. Yet the solution may be closer than we think: your old eyeglasses.

Lions Clubs International, one of the world's largest volunteer service organizations, has been serving communities for more than a century. Preserving eyesight is one of its flagship causes. Through its used eyeglasses collection program, donated glasses are collected, refurbished, and distributed to people in need in more than 50 countries worldwideCollect, recycle, redistribute: three simple actions that help thousands of people see better, learn better, and work better.

CERN personnel can also contribute; collection boxes will be available in CERN restaurants and cafeterias and at the Staff Association.

Imagine this: a pair of glasses forgotten in your drawer could help a child read their first book, enable a student to continue their education, or allow a craftsperson to regain their livelihood.

One gesture. One pair of glasses. One life transformed.

Your old glasses may no longer be useful to you, but they can open a new window onto the world for someone else.
