As previously published in the ECHO, the process for the by-elections to the Staff Council for Graduates is currently taking place. This is the final straight to join and stand as a candidate!

The call for applications, launched on 17 September, closes on 30 October 2026 at 5.00 p.m. All Graduates who are members of the Staff Association1 can still get involved and submit their applications.

What’s next ?

Following the closure of the call for applications and before voting begins, the Electoral Commission will meet to examine the validity of the applications received.

All Graduates who members of the Staff Association will then be asked to vote to elect their representatives to the Staff Council. Voting will start on Monday 9 November at midday and end on Monday 23 November at midday.

The voting procedure will be monitored by the Electoral Commission, which is also in charge of announcing the results in ECHO on 26 November and 10 December.

Your vote matters !

These by-elections were organised so that Graduates have their own representatives, able to voice your ideas, expectations and goals. Taking part in these by-elections means choosing the person you think best able to represent you from among all the candidates. The higher the turnout, the stronger your delegates’ mandate to defend your interests and make your voice heard within the Staff Association bodies.

Issues that affect you directly

The staff survey carried out as part of the 2026–2027 work program highlighted several challenges specific to Graduates, such as contract policy; workload, recognition and career development; training, support; and social protection and concerns about the end of contract. Your future delegates will be tasked with moving these issues forward. Choose the people who will represent you best.

How to vote ?

Voting shall be conducted electronically. The voting platform shall inform each voter of the list of candidates and provide access to their candidature forms.

The link to the voting platform will be sent by email to Graduates members of the Staff Association, who will be asked to select a candidate from the list of applications approved by the Electoral Commission. Voting is open from Monday 9 November at noon until Monday 23 November at noon.

It only takes a few minutes to make your voice heard. Vote, and encourage your fellow Graduates to do the same!
